You can just see what’s coming next, can’t you

With John Dalli now the effective Minister for Health, a government deal on the defunct St Philip’s Hospital is back on the cards.

Frank Portelli and Dalli are leading members of the ‘I’m such a hurt Nationalist and so upset by Gonzi that I have no choice but to do as much damage as possible to Gonzi and the PN on Super One television’ club.

And of course, nobody will be getting a cut on that deal. John Dalli is a very honest man and we have no evidence to the contrary.

Does it mean Godfrey gets a waiver?

    • observer says:

Not necessarily. It could simply mean that poor tearful Godfrey could get either a dummy or a kick in the derriere!

Well, well, well, so the last petal he plucked was Labour.

Spin of The Year Award goes to:

“HEALTH MINISTER HIMSELF SUGGESTED THAT JOHN DALLI SHOULD HELP

In other points of his interview, Dr Muscat said the health sector was rotten, and he praised Health Minister Godfrey Farrugia for his work.

He said it was the minister himself who phoned him when he noted that John Dalli had offered to help the government. It was the minister himself who had suggested that Mr Dalli should be invited to help the government in the health sector, because the last real plans for the health sector were drawn up by Mr Dalli when he was minister.

He was confident that Mr Dalli would be able to help remedy the situation at Mater Dei, Dr Muscat said Unless decisive action was taken, the whole system would collapse.”

Good for Minister Godrey Farrugia – he can now sit back and relax – there is John Dalli to do his dirty work.

Oh my, that was a quick decision!

When he said that he is open to give his services to the government or the opposition, everyone knew which one he would have chosen… he just followed the money and a vantage point from where he could attack his ex-party colleagues.

He could not have chosen to sell his services to the cash-strapped opposition party.

Thank heavens that you are back as cravings were starting to kick in.

At one point, John Dalli was actually a shareholder of St Philip’s Hospital.

Another one collecting his 30 pieces of silver.

The first one rued it tragically, didn’t he.

Let’s hope this one does not – at least, not as dramatically.

  9. Quantum Interrogation says:

Another extra expensive salary paid off from the Maltese taxpayer. If the Malta Taghna Lkoll campaign focussed so much on getting things right and perfect once Labour took over, then how come there’s a Minister for Health (as there should be) and a newly appointed Dalli in charge of Mater Dei’s problems?

    What a mess.

    • observer says:

What do you mean by ‘mess’?

‘Gas down ghal gol-hajt’ is the correct description. We were told that, weren’t we?

Has Joseph offered you a chairperson job yet?

  11. Last Post says:

Mario (Marx) Vella (Mascina?) used to write (and speak) about the internal contradictions within the Nationalist Party due to its “Taghna Lkoll” philosophy. What would he say about today’s Labour?
