A timely Tweet from Norman Hamilton’s elder daughter, Davinia – compared to the hypocrisy of Roderick Galdes

From a Department of Information press release about Michelle Muscat’s concert to raise funds for animals, to be held at Girgenti Palace (though nobody knows who got the tickets):

Min-naħa tiegħu s-Segretarju Parlamentari għall-Agrikultura, Sajd u Drittijiet tal-Annimali Roderick Galdes faħħar din l-inizjattiva kif ukoll il-ħidma ta’ dawk kollha li jaħdmu b’mod volontarju mal-annimali. L-Onorevoli Galdes enfasizza li l-annimali m’għandhomx vuċi, u għalhekk jistgħu jsemmgħu biss leħinhom permezz ta’ dawk li jieħdu ħsiebhom.

So Mrs Muscat uses the excuse of raising funds for animals (because the poor things have no voice) to do what she wants to do anyway: have the Malta Philharmonic play in ‘her’ garden at Girgenti Palace while admiring crowds of The High Society admire her Aldo shoes.

And meanwhile, her husband selects ‘healthy males’ for deportation to Libya while leaving their wives and babies locked up in Malta without them.

Money for the animals, yes. A safe haven for humans who are suffering, no. The irony of it all.

What next? A serata in aid of those who want to have a sex change?

And her husband managed divide this nation in just over 100 days. Well done, Mr. PM.

Well the mentioned serata is going to happen in Cospicua.

      And yes, divide and rule.

    • Harry Purdie says:

Not only divided, Manuel, I detected truly visceral animosity between the two sides, during a lunch engagement today.

I’ve been here for over 20 years and thought I’d seen it all. But this was scary stuff.

The little shit has set a time bomb. Don’t think it will tick for 5 years.

This is what Nicola’ Abela Garrett wrote under a friend’s status

Nicolà Abela Garrett Absolutely, but for the right reasons, and not because it makes us look good. I hope my comment wasn’t misconstrued.

I believe we should “push out” rather than push back. Here’s my list of culprits:
    1. Chavs
    2. People who don’t read (not those who *can’t*, because they should be helped, but those who chose not to)
    3. People with bad taste
    4. People who treat arts students like second class citizens
    5. People who allow the delusions of grandeur about their profession to influence who they snob or choose to affiliate themselves with…

Like calling the then Minister Gatt a ‘wanker’ to make her look good? Is that what she means?

      Well then, she should know.
