An iced bun for Jimmy Magro, Jason Micallef’s predecessor as Labour Party secretary-general

Jimmy Magro, ex secretary-general of the Labour Party (just before Jason) has been selected to head a ‘life sciences’ project at Malta Enterprise.
This would be Jimmy Magro, who can barely spell.
What life sciences project, and what in heaven’s name does Jimmy Magro know about either life sciences or management?
There was no call for applications, nor even an ‘expression of interest’.

Purely speculation, but I wonder if this has anything to do with providing some outlet (job, funding??) for his daughter, who happens to be a pharmacist and so is can be said to have an interest in life sciences.

In any event, he is hardly going to have such an account in his name, is he? Just like the rental agreement for that Villa was not in his name but that of a company. He (or rather his daughter) seems well versed in the business of setting up shell companies and had n qualms to set them up to avoid the embargo on Iran, which should tell one a lot about their moral standards.
