AARON FARRUGIA

Aaron Farrugia, who until the 2008 general election was president of Forum Zghazagh Laburisti and leading a team of others (including Nikita Zammit Alamango) whose job it was to write false letters to The Times under assumed names, pretending to be citizens outraged by Gonzi’s government, and faked internet comments for the same purpose, is to be made CEO of Malta Freeport Corporation.

In true Labour style, he announced this appointment himself when asked by the press, instead of directing journalists to the appointing body, the government.

Below, you will find a link to an article in The Malta Independent, published in 2007, which you really must read. Six years ago, Aaron Farrugia’s main job was writing fake letters to The Times to undermine the Nationalist government. Six years ago, he didn’t know that the singular of elves is elf, not elve. He probably still doesn’t.

And he and his friends were probably still hard at work in this last general election, doing the same thing by faking comments on the internet.

Malta Freeport Corporation is the regulator of Malta Freeport, which is run by a private company. It does not need a CEO. It has a chairman who does that job. This is a way of creating a rather large iced bun for Elve Aaron, along with a salary, car, driver, phone, office, perks and privileges.

But he can still do damage.

So, Aaron Farrugia posing as a smart intellectual was actually leading, coordinating and sending those fake letters simply to be deceitful and potentially aiming to manipulate the opinion of the readers of a newspaper?

How more dishonest and irresponsible one can be than acting in this manner, expressing pleasure about fooling the public? It is sickening.

People like Aaron Farrugia can never be trusted, certainly not in posts where there is a public interest, irrespective If he has qualification or experience.

(I read this article after I posted another comment to the article on Mr Farrugia’s achievements. Now that I am more clear on Mr Farrugia’s modus operandi and his record of sending those fake letters, he certainly does not qualify to be in any public post, let alone as CEO of Malta Freeport).

What sucks is that he has a degree in European Studies, and until a few months ago worked in the committee for regions as a government appointee.

The party that was against EU
