How careless of the Parliamentary Secretary for Sport to lose two of his key people so soon after acquiring them

What is it with Stefan Buontempo? He’s been there just six months and his head of secretariat (“chief of steff/stuff”) has resigned, and has the chairman of the Malta Sports Council.

Both Sandro Mangion and Jonathan Barbara have cited ‘personal reasons’.

I understand that Stefan Buontempo is quite a “difficult ” person to work with. Usually the “chief of steff/stuff” is handpicked from persons one knows and can trust; so the chief reaching his breaking point/tolerance level just after a few weeks must be very indicative of Stefan’s way of doing things.

So, is this the 7th, 8th or 9th ‘chief of stuff’ to resign in six months? I seem to have lost count…

Oh, that blubber head again. Only recently, he made the grand announcement (http://www.timesofmalta.com/articles/view/20130808/local/sports-equipment-refunds-scheme-launched.481355) that the sports equipment refund scheme – originally introduced by the PN – has been relaunched, retroactive to the 1st of January this year.

Having bought some such equipment at the end of March myself, I was, naturally, pleased with this, especially since I was told – when enquiring about it upon purchase – that the scheme had been scrapped. I proceeded to download the relevant refund application form, only to find out that SOLELY original receipts UP TO 3 months old would be accepted. Jitnejku bin-nies f’wicchom, jew ma jafx jghodd? .
