That kind of debt and they still think that Malta’s asking price is ridiculously low.
Under the heading there’s written:
‘Malta has decided to sell it’s citizenship for the mere price of 350,000 Euros. But if you have 32.3 billion shillings, that would be a drop in the ocean!’
There are none more cheap or tacky than Malta’s Labour. Crass, stupid, immoral, cheap. Really the pits.
Maybe that was Muscat’s cunning plan after all: keep the klandestini in Africa by getting them to start saving.
Minister Mallia would certainly be welcomed in Kenya, should he decide to promo to the IIP there, with the traditional greeting ‘jumbo’ which, in his case, would certainly have a double meaning. The one problem he would face would be to express the cost of citizenship in Kenya shillings.

Update on the Public Accounts Committee (PAC):
A few days ago, the PAC called Dr Godwin Debono as witness. Remarkably, he was exonerated after only 13 minutes of questioning (a record) on the pretext that he was not a consultant to the maligned Oil procurement committee. However, all Enemalta documents list him as consultant.
This led me to ponder on why would government let Godwn Debono off the hook so easily?
The answer came when I listened to PN MP Toni Bezzina’s budget speech in Parliament last Friday. Perit Bezzina referred to when Joe Mizzi had commissioned the Madonna taz-Zejt well in Kercem, Gozo, when he was minister in the Alfred Sant cabinet (1996-1998).
Taxpayers paid a whopping 30 million euro for this well which is the deepest in the Mediterranean. It was drilled on commission by the Maltese Government by the Italian company ENI. Only God knows how many commissions and kickbacks changed hands in order to have this deep, but unnecessary dry well.
What is the connection between this ‘ENI scandal’ and Dr Debono being let off the hook by government representatives on the PAC?
Dr Debono was Joe Mizzi’s right hand man at the Kercem well. He was head of the oil exploration division under Joe Mizzi and was advising him on the well.
Could this be a trade off? Government exonerated Dr Debono of charges as long he does not squeal the truth about the Kercem well/ENI 30 million euro scandal, that leads directly to Joe Mizzi?
This sounds very serious. Random is referring to a 30 million euro drilling project – and someone in the government seems to be covering for the culprit.
We have the same minister, Joe Mizzi, in government. Can we allow this to happen again? Snouts in the trough.
It is said that a country gets a government it deserves, so we deserve this.

Excellent. Malta’s passport is their number 1 item on the list. Third item is Catarina Migliorini’s virginity. At the price of US$780 “Big Ones,” it costs just about the same as Malta’s citizenship, which comes in at US$850,000.
After a day’s shopping, would it not be quite ‘interesting’ to find a Maltese passport and Migliorini’s virginity in the same shopping bag?
In October 2012, in connection with a controversial Australian documentary called “Virgins Wanted,” Migliorini, a 21 year-old Brazilian girl, had auctioned her virginity online. The highest bid was from a Japanese millionaire who offered US$780,000.
But after she carried out a ‘due diligence’ on the Japanese man, she decided not to accept his offer. For the purpose of ‘due diligence,’ she did not use a private company on a commission basis. Instead, she met with the guy in a Sydney restaurant.
She was featured on the front page of Playboy magazine in Brazil in January 2013.
But rather more interesting is the fact that it has been reported that Miglioirini is selling her virginity, again. Although she has opened bids at US$100,000, she says her target is US$1.5 million.
Considering Joseph Muscat’s pricing of the Maltese passport at US$850,000, Migliorini’s decision to increase the price of her virginity to US$1.5 million looks like a fair move. Malta’s citizenship has been prostituted by the government and so it must have lost its virginity. US$1.5 million is roughtly equivalent to 2 Maltese passports.

Going back to the very generous offer of reaching consensus with the Opposition, I think that the Opposition should take it and declare that the best advice they can give him is to stop it altogether, move out of the seat he is clearly not fit to occupy and let someone else fit to govern accept the near impossible task of trying to help us regain our dignity. Short of that, the alternative is to tell him to go to hell.
I notice a quadrillion (Zimbabwean dollars). That’s a hell of a big number for Manuel Mallia to understand.
Is there any way to sack the current government for good?

A government led by a former Super One and Maltastar reporter and stuffed with former Super One and Maltastar reporters can’t be expected to have insight, foresight or anything approaching acceptable analytical and marketing and communications skills.

Muscat cannot afford to lose the Opposition’s goodwill on this one, even because Debono isn’t a potential future government.
He speaks as if his role supersedes parliament, always partial to a senate, yeah right.

I have followed the link to the Kenyan newspaper and seen the other potential uses for the billions of Kenyan shillings. The first three of eleven suggested uses are:
first choice: Maltese citizenship
second choice: 3 super-cars
third choice: a supermodel’s virginity
What an embarrassment to lump our once proud Maltese citizenship with that lot. I sometimes think it’s all a bad dream.
I presume that in the same way that the “remarkable” Dom Mintoff is hailed, by his supporters, for putting Malta on the international map, Joseph Muscat’s supporters will hail him for doing the same.
The fact that Malta became famous – more accurately notorious – for the wrong reasons is conveniently ignored.
This article implies that Maltese citizenship has been made cheap and tacky. How embarrassing. It is obvious that Joseph Muscat and his clan have no pride, but I suppose you can’t expect anything better from a country bumpkin and his hick mates.
I said many times (way back last year before the election) that he is not the statesman Malta deserves. What with this and protecting John Dalli from prosecution, he should be held accountable and made to resign. He has brought Malta’s proud reputation into disrepute. He is an international disgrace.
Dante was right. Evil will claim its seven rounds. This is but part of the cycle of the first round.
Not even other scammers and snake oil artists of Joseph Muscat’s nature ever allowed opposition of a scam or its exposure to stand in their way. These are psychopaths that will take you down with them. For every leniency they are allowed to get away with, you will eventually have to pay tenfold in real terms.
The truth is, this is where it needs to stop.
A renegotiation leads the way to a new round of hell. It doesn’t ever get better. It only gets worse. The surrounding conditions deteriorate as we speak.
Waking up to it later, you will find at each round, that there are reduced conditions to work with. Allowing it to deteriorate further, will mean that the long arduous road to success will have to start again, re-paved and redefined almost from scratch.
The old international network of trust and repute will be gone and the break in continuity will mean that those assuming new positions will not be able to rely on past successes and easy assumption of trust.
What until now was taken for granted, will be out of reach. Access to it will be costlier.
Malta is no longer the same as it was 8 months ago.
Joseph Muscat’s Government needs to lose its seat and get out NOW.
The sensitivity needs to hone in on the surrounding deteriorating conditions. Intangible values need to be recognised, defined and spelled out.
