Meanwhile, in Libya the situation worsens rapidly

Now Etihad has stopped its flights to Tripoli because of safety concerns. But have we heard any member of our government even mention the situation there?

No. Our prime minister only talks about Libya from an egocentric perspective: pie-in-the-sky deals for cheaper oil and border patrols to push back asylum seekers on the Libyan coast.

He flew out there some weeks ago to visit his NBF the Libyan PM, who has lost control of all but Tripoli. But has any reporter stuck a microphone in Muscat’s face to ask him what he thinks about the rapidly deteriorating situation there?

Foreign policy magazine, which Joseph Muscat must read religiously, says this about Libya: http://www.foreignpolicy.com/articles/2013/11/01/is_libya_beyond_repair

Libyan cheap oil deals have fallen through, so we’re selling passports to suspect Libyans instead and raising the money that way.
