Just picture the next EU summit. “Hey Joey, you can forget those €1.1 billion in funds. You don’t need them; just sell a few passports.”

Labour is a criminal organisation, and the most criminal get to the top. That’s all there is to it.

There was a gross error in that billboard. It should have read: “Labour never worked and never will” or better “Il-lejber minn dejjem hadimna wahda nobis”.

Min jaf Franco x’joghrok idejh. Se jkollu x’jiddefendi.

    NICE ONE

  4. ciccio says:

Nighthawk is perfectly right to say that Labour is a criminal organisation. They even have their own criminal lawyer on board in a prominent position.

    That picture is really good.

Since Malta is such a big country that there is a need for a minister for the south, our friend Silvio has at last earned his iced bun.

Phew! We finally found that iced bun, past its expiry date, at the back of the freezer, among the cheap cuts and factory rejects. Just popped it into the microwave, waited for the ping and it’s done. It’ll have to do anyway.

      Proset Silvio. Ahna tas-South mieghek.

    • ciccio says:

OK, it tells us who the members of the Committee are. But does it tell us what it means by “the South”?

James Debono on Malta Today Blog:

Quote: The Nationalist opposition rightly took a firm stand against this grotesque scheme, which has put a price tag on our citizenship and ultimately exposed us to global ridicule.

  7. TROY says:

tas-sawt please, ghax ‘th’,so,so hard for Silvio to pronounce.

  8. kev says:

I hope you realise that when you say “€1.1 bln in EU funds” you are actually adding our €501mln in contributions to the €627mln of the projected incoming funds, which are themselves conditional to our forking out further funding, ranging from 25 to 33%, for those projects that are approved by the EU, including private funding. Moreover, the funds earmarked for the processing and facilitation of asylum seekers and mass migration are also included in that sum.

Meanwhile Josanne Cassar is appalled by the fact that the Maltese have taken up every comment board to vent their disagreements – because disagreement has now become squabbling.

    Josanne Cassar

Look at the comments, they are mostly Maltese people squabbling among themselves and making it about the party they vote for. They have turned the Telegraph into the timesofmalta.com

  10. Michael Seychell says:

Considering that all the South Local Councils are controlled by Labour, appointing a new Consultative Council for the South of Malta, can be interpreted only that the Labour government is not happy with the way these Councils are being managed, in other words Prime Minister Joe Muscat lost his trust in all the South Local Council Mayors.

  11. Edward says:

In fact, Labour doesn’t want to work at all. It wants to sit on its ass all day and let the money roll in from somewhere, and it sure doesn’t matter to them where that money will come from.

Isn’t that why they have gone for this scheme, because it means they will make money without making an effort?

  12. pablo says:

In 2004 all of us obtained European citizenship which opened up a new world of alternatives and opportunities. We voted for it and we were not asked to pay one cent. Muscat opposed this with all his heart and efforts.

In 2014 all of us risk losing our European citizenship because of greed and cowboyism. Not one Maltese voted for this scheme, and the majority are clearly against this scheme. But the Fuhrer decides otherwise.

Arrogant and mealy-mouthed with no sense of what being a prime minister entails.

  13. A. Cremona says:

The damning irony of it all is that the government is enticing foreigners to become Maltese whilst inadvertently encouraging many Maltese to be embarrassed of their own nationality. How pathetic is that.

When on holiday and asked ‘Where are you from?’, think again.

  14. H. Prynne says:

Silvio Parnis – the phrase “You are literally too stupid to insult” springs to mind hearing his name.
