Muscat hangs around alone near his seat, waiting to be noticed by Bill Clinton

And The Daily Mail didn’t pick up on who he is here, either. But then, thanks to a photograph released to Times of Malta, we find out that Muscat did get to speak to Clinton so all that hanging around paid off.
The photographs which show him waiting around to be noticed are, however, far more interesting from a media point of view. They’re certainly more interesting to readers.

One of the most farcical memorial services ever. I honestly cannot understand why these big shots – Clinton, Obama etc bother and even more so why small fry like Joey Muscat and that other insssssssipid socialist Miliband bother to go and make fools of themselves.
All are more interested in networking and posing than truly mourning.
No one was actually mourning, except perhaps Mandela’s family and close friends. The rest are just posturing for the ages. Which says something about the charade back home for that vile scum Mintoff’s funeral.
Thank you for reiterating that he was vile scum, as I can’t stand hearing the nonsense of certain individuals stating “ghax miskin issa mejjet”.
Further down in the same article there’s another photo which includes Joseph Muscat. Even though the caption says “from left to right” Muscat is yet again left out.
The caption under the fourth photo actually skips him, It’s left to right, Major, Clegg, Joseph taghna ma chi se ne frega, and Chelsea Clinton.

You have to feel a bit sorry for the man. He is clearly out of his league when in proximity of the big guns. Not easy for a Maltese prime minister by any stretch. But does he really need to make his inferiority complex so obvious?

Muscat manages to get another photo of himself at the event (completely unacknowledged, of course) on the internet. He must be so proud.
