The Labour Party is in duty bound to explain to its supporters that if Malta were not an EU member state, the government would not be able to sell Maltese passports.

In their confused state, they rant against the European Union and hope that Muscat will pull Malta out, but then praise him for coming up with the brilliant idea of selling ‘Maltese’ citizenship.

If the Labour Party explains to its supporters that Malta can sell EU passports thanks to it being an EU Member State, then the supporters might think that the “one thousand millions” from the scheme (if Muscat forges ahead) would be possible thanks to PN policies and not to Muscat’s policies.

Catch 22, dear Kram, Pull Malta out and hey presto, no passports to sell. Dritt gol-hajt.

The Labour Party is DUTY bound….. see, there’s your problem, right there…

Meanwhile, The Times of Malta has – through it’s own typing error – summed Wistin Abela up perfectly:

“He had worked harm for the country” (http://www.timesofmalta.com/articles/view/20140127/local/house-pays-tribute-to-wistin-abela.504417#.UubP6xRwbmI)

The Labour Party has doesn’t understand the very concept of the European Union, so expect no better.

Could Mary Swan (or whatever other name she chooses to use), who flew to the Bahamas with John Dalli in a private jet, possibly be an applicant for a Maltese passport?

After all, she already worked from an office in Malta.

If she is, it might explain why the secrecy clause was inserted. Since they planned to invest millions in the Bahamas, she could certainly afford the price of a Malta (EU) passport under a totally new alias.

And to think that there were those who genuinely thought that anyway Labour was a safe bet because thanks to the Nationalists Malta is now safely anchored in the EU which will serve as a guarantee against the excessive behaviour we have come to expect from Labour governments.
