And it’s registered in the Isle of Man.

  2. Colin says:

If only the Forbes China Rich List had the option to narrow down searches to people in real estate/ property development, based in Guangzhou. There are many names without photos, however, and somehow I doubt the billionaire in question is one of the top people on the list.

  3. C Falzon says:

Do you have the registration number – it may be possible to track its movements over the past few weeks at http://flightradar24.com

  4. Gaetano Pace says:

As the mist over the Chinese billionaire`s mystery slowly lifts, we should be looking at what Mrs Konrad Mizzi might have had to do with it.

  5. Andrew Kaci Hili says:

Does anyone reading this know the jet’s registration number?

  6. La Redoute says:

China Aoyuan Property’s major share holder, Ace Rise Profits Limited, was incorporated in British Virgin Islands.

Am I right to say that the Chinese billionaire does not necessarily own the jet or the company which owns it?

He could have leased the plane.

      • La Redoute says:

Of course. But knowing who owns the plane is a start.

The Famous Leak told us the man is the owner of China’s largest independent brokerage firm. For some reason, that’s been interpreted to means finance. What about commodity brokerage?

      • Marlowe says:

What tends to happen with private jets is you get all sorts of creative shell companies to hide the real owners. If it were a lease it would be listed as operated by a well known company like NetJets or what have you, since that way confidentiality is guaranteed.

  7. Andrew Kaci Hili says:

I have just had it confirmed that this jet is indeed Manx-registered: M-GYQM.

  8. La Redoute says:

The jet was in Malta 18-20 January.

Actually, there is a picture of the plane, probably during take off, by Stephen J. Borg in the link to the Maltese site above. The registration number is very visible.
