Manuel Mallia orders removal of hugely popular police video

The Malta Independent reports that Manuel Mallia’s office has ordered the removal of the police YoutUbe video aimed at foreign students, featuring Police Inspector Sharon Tanti, which had more than 60,000 views in just the two days it was up.
And then they claim that there is no political interference in police business, and that the separation of powers is respected.
BRING BACK INSPECTOR SHARON TANTI.
Fortunately, John Bundy – now a sworn enemy of Manuel Mallia’s chief of staff, Silvio Scerri – thought ahead to copy the video and re-upload it on YouTube himself.

Is Manwel Mallia governing Malta? What hold has he got over Joseph Muscat?
On his short and curlies.
He certainly does have a hold – on very sensitive and private parts of Muscat. It appears useless for Muscat to scream in agony whenever Mallia presses his fist on them.
You mean “is ANYBODY” governing Malta? The present so-called government seems to be made up of people intent on lining their own pockets, feathering their nests and ensuring a comfortable future for themselves, family and friends – unless of course the law or conscience catches up with them.
In the meantime Malta just drifts in a vacuum and rapidly sinks into a bottomless abyss of incompetence, deceit, dishonesty and corruption.
Manuel Mallia, an utter failure of the Labour government.
Sharon Tanti is a Superintendant.
Ir-‘road map’ kienet kollha ramps, deviations, side streets u aktar min cul-de-sac wahda tidher. Insew jghidulna li lanqas half baked ma’ kienet!
You forgot the U-turns, slippery roads ahead and several wrong ways and no entry signs.
From a technical point of view, the video wasn’t great.
It was terrible. How many videos have you seen warning tourists of all the negative potential of their future holidays, let alone those of their underage children?
It was a typical case of government ‘cluelessness’.
The title could have been ‘Dying to go to Malta’
Actually this move is the first decent thing Mr Mallia has done since becoming minister…
And why did he remove it?
Superintendant Sharon Tanti, not inspector. Thanks.
Bundy has uploaded it to Facebook too.
When I go abroad the first thing I search the net for are the negative things. Saves a lot of hand wringing after! It saved me many times from the small things you don’t notice when you arrive in a foreign country which could mean the theft of your passport, cash or worse still, your life!
