    And of course, had the result been different we would be applying the same logic to Johnson, Jagielka, Sturridge, Wellbeck, Sterling, Smalling and Chamberlain.

    That said, I find it a little small minded to camouflage ones footballing disappointment by hiding behind a (valid) moral point and it rather defeats the purpose. Racism is a much more serious issue than that.

    Yesterday I was at a supermarket and nuns were collecting food, presumably for a worthy cause. As I was leaving, I noticed someone perfectly able-bodied telling the nun to keep the one euro or 50 cents of his trolley deposit (which she had to push to the trolley return to get, so really he was paying for a service), and then I watched him remove his large Mercedes from the disabled spot, clearly marked as such with a huge sign.

    This is kind of the same thing.

      If that supermarket is in Sliema then I have to inform you that those nuns were from the Ursuline Crèche.

      This institution depends mainly on providence to take care of 50 children.

      This makes the deed so much more distasteful.

    Pity that he was so stupid to rush on with his racist comment before checking the facts: Mario Balotelli is Italian BY BIRTH. He was born in Palermo!
