Arrogance (and lack of respect for scheduled monuments) update

A member of my international worldwide network of spies, a much respected retired doctor, informs me that at yesterday’s concert at St John’ Cathedral, organised by the Maltese Association of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, Mrs Muscat entered wearing stiletto heels. She was not asked to remove them, as were others wearing such shoes.
It was arrogant and ignorant of Mrs Muscat to ignore the rules against stilettos and march right in wearing them, and it was abusive of those in charge to accord her the privilege of tramping all over the marble tombstones with those heels when others were expressly required not to do so.

Ruthless, selfish, vain, hungry for money and society but lacking social skills.
That the missus is stupid, selfish and ignorant plus totally lacking social skills is known to all, except her followers, who are of the same type.
How can one expect the people to sit up, notice and protest when even the people at the helm are not capable of discreetly reminding Mrs. M. not to turn up wearing stilettos? Arse-lickers, the lot of them.
Comment: well said, But then we do know the level of stupidity this particular woman embraces.
Xieraq x’ħin tidħol f’darha tgħidlek biex tneħħi ż-żarbun!
Yesterday night, at about 1am, there were 3 police Rapid Intervention Unit cars (silver Ford Focuses) parked to the side of Mgarr church. The officers were hanging out at the Labour Party club there.
Sorry but regulations are there for everyone to abide by, if this person does not have any sense of civic pride or responsibility then she can keep out of these events….we can do very well without the presence of such uncultired beings!
It is up to the management of St. John’s Cathedral to discreetly remind Mrs. Muscat not to wear stilettos. If they are not capable of doing this, then I give up completely.
Give up!
What an ill-bred peasant.
The floor of the Co-Cathedral is recognized worldwide as unique and ranks in splendour with works of a much earlier period by members of the Roman Cosmati family.
There have been signs at the door saying that stiletto-type heels are not allowed ever since I was a child.
Mhux xorta.
Pity her a bit please. It is just plain ignorance.
I beg to differ; this is inbred ignorance.
To put it a bit more succinctly, – ‘it is ignorance due to inbreeding’.
I’m sure she knows the rules, so it’s arrogance not ignorance.
‘The truest characters of ignorance are vanity and pride and arrogance.’
Samuel Butler
I heard she threw a hissy fit when someone honked their horn to ask her to remove her car blocking San Anton School’s ring road.
And this even when her school run comes with a driver.
Mela kif jgħidu bl-Ingliż “two weights and two measures” jimxu anke fil-konkatidral ta’ San Gwann. Niftakar darba kont qed nattendi xi kunċert fil-kon katidral u tiġi sinjurabex tidħol Tal-bieb waqqafha għax skont hu kellha żarbun mhux addattat (bit-takkuna) . nassigura lil kulħadd li t-takkuna li kellha din is-sinjura ma kienetx stiletto. Bqajt niftakar din l-istorja għax niftakar tajjeb din is-sinjura pronta staqsiet lil tal-bieb.” Jekk tiġi Mrs Gonzi” b’żarbun bħal dan ma tħallihiex tidħol, tibgħatha tbiddlu ?” u dan qalilha ” daż-żgur” Kif semgħet hekk is-sinjura neħħiet iż-żarbun, u daħlet il-konkatidral liebsa l-kalzetti u ż-żarbun f’idejha.
Ara veru kemm ġejna sew! Dawn qed jaħsbu li ħadd u xejn ma jista’ għalihom?!Jistgħu jagħmlu li jridu? U bħalhom qed jagħmlu s-segwaċi tagħhom għax jidhrilhom li l-gvern tagħhom u aktar jagħmlu li jridu jekk għandhom l-eżempju! X’marmalja ta’ nies twikkejna bihom!
Ridt inkompli ngħid ħalli ħadd ma jifhimni ħażin. Mhux għas-sinjura qed ngħid għal Mrs Muscat għax allura lil Mrs Gonzi kien jibgħatha tbiddel iż-żarbun (għalkemm jien ċert li qatt ma kien se jkun, għax Mrs Gonzi taf kif imorru l-affarijiet) u lil Mrs Muscat ħalliha għaddejja. Ammirajt lis-sinjura dakinhar li obdiet l-istruzzjonijiet u ma komplietx tinsisti tidħol biż-żarbun. Tgħid din id-darba x’kienet tagħmel kieku rat lil Mrs Muscat dieħla bl-istiletto?
One day, some day, these people will all have to return to their origins.
When they do, it’s going to hurt them much much more then it’s been felt by anyone who has come before them because their social climb has been one incredible and continuous adrenaline rush and the sole aim of their being.
Who gives two hoots – now we’re in charge. Utter selfishness of an ‘issa taghna lkoll’ attitude.
X’injoranza ta’ nies. Imbasta taparsi lhaqna u qas biss taf li mhux suppost tidhol b’takkuna bhal dik.
As far as stupidity and arrogance could go. Stiletto tall.
I doubt whether Mrs Muscat knows the difference between St John’s Cathedral and the Burmarrad Church.
U imbaghad tigi ‘tghallimna’ x’inhuwa l-protocol tal-ilbies meta jkollok laqgha mal-Papa. Biex taparsi turina kemm hi edukata u kemm ghandha manjieri.
U hallina, Mrs. Muscat, tridx? Lanqas ghandek rispett ghal pajjizek stess. Lanqas biss taf x’igifieri l-kelma rispett.
I think it’s time we had a list of all the errors we ve had to put up with since March13. Wrong appointments, lack of protocol, silly speeches, etc etc
Is it possible that no one in the prime minister’s entourage drew his or her attention that stiletto heels should not be worn on a delicate marble floor like that of Malta’s foremost architectural jewel, St John’s Co-Cathedral? Is this a case of philistinism in Malta’s leadership, or a deliberate disrespect for Malta’s historical heritage?
