New definition of housewife: a woman who doesn’t have to go into the office

That’s interesting. This woman admits to keeping a brothel but describes herself as a housewife rather than a madam. I suppose she does this on the misguided basis that unless you actually have a job to go to, even if you are earning a living by working in other entrepreneurial ways that allow you to stay home most of the time doing the cleaning, shopping and cooking, you’re a housewife.

    She’s a prostitute herself.

At least she is making a positive contribution to the GNP (if she declares any of her income).

And, she is not selling anything which belongs to the Maltese public (passports, power station, etc).

What she does with her privates is none of anybody’s business.

This must be the Maltese politician’s ideal citizen.

    Self-employed, employer, businesswoman AND housewife.

    • ciccio says:

And she positively discriminates in favour of women to work, and actually increases the participation rate of women at the work place. Because you know, that is what Joseph Muscat said we need to provide for our pensions: in-nisa johorgu jahdmu.

    • ken il malti says:

She was an ideal candidate for those pre-election Labour Party billboards, and an honest person too.

    Is Mrs Mizzi a housewife?

I’m a househusband but for a negotiable fee I would be happy to be called madam.

    She’s a Human Resources Manager.

On another note, if the Maltese journalists want to question Sai Mizzi about her contract she is in Malta. Swimming in a pool next to her handsome husband.

The woman is on family friendly measures. Flexi-working at all hours from home. Who’s complaining?

  11. M says:

‘Housewife’ because that is the way to avoid paying taxes and national insurance just like the numerous cleaning ladies around. That is also the way to take and keep all the benefits possible.

  12. Osservatore says:

What does one make of Madam Balzan? Surely she must object.
