Residents of H’Attard have been protesting about plans to develop a parcel of land that is outside the development zone and close to an area of ecological importance into 91 flats.
MEPA has unanimously turned down the application.
The land is owned by 18 people/companies, one of whom is Taghna Lkoll president of the Malta Developers Association, Sandro Chetcuti, seen here at the Labour Party’s May Day meeting this year.

Spin already in place.
The PC application kicked out because there’s a major discrepancy between what had been rationalised and the proposal in question.
Guess who’ll get the blame.

“Air Malta is now once again looking for a foreign expert to head the airline’s commercial aspects.
According to the airline’s chairwoman, Maria Micallef, it is “extremely difficult” to find Maltese candidates who have the necessary experience.”

Astrid must be delighted.
Recently I had the opportunity to hear Astrid complain about the many eyesores that are in the pipeline. No, she is not happy. Does she feel silly for having pushed for a change in government? Who knows.
Really? Where did she complain? In her parlour?
How do I send you a couple of interesting pics, developing this subject further?

This application is not over yet – this was just a smokescreen hurdle – the next step will see the application approved with the bye line “we listened to the environmentalists and scaled down the development”.
Jitnejku bina!
If you want to build fifty apartments, make an initial application asking for one hundred.
Then wonder of wonders, Mepa gets the credit for cutting the project by half.
Is the name of the consortium really Prince et al? If so, then guess who crowned himself as so? They are really thinking they own the island.

Sandro CHetcuti was interviewed by The Malta Independent this week to portray a ‘holier than thou’ image.
He claimed that he only wants to develop eye-sores and not green areas.
