Muscat is free and equal – so a bigger bargain than the boat in the last post

Muscat Un homophobia October 2014

Still campaigning for the gay (male) vote…are we going to have another three years of this? Talk about flogging a dead horse, yawn, yawn, yawn.

At this rate we’re going to think that there’s something we should be told – that he’s a gay man himself – or that he’s protesting too much because really he conforms to his backwoods bunny upbringing and secretly thinks of gay men as half-human pufti.

He should send that card to Cyrus Engerer, remove him from his grace and favour jobs and give Ġieħ ir-Repubblika to Cyrus’s former boyfriend’s employers.

  2. Pablo says:

The sign should read “Buy your passports here”.

  3. Jozef says:

He can’t even hold that thing properly.

  4. H.P. Baxxter says:

    ‘Oo’s a pretty boy then?

  5. anthony says:

I wish I could comment but I cannot.

    Not really.

  6. Someone says:

Belgium has a new prime minister who is 38 and who, beyond that, has come to terms with his baldness like a real man.

  7. P Shaw says:

Most probably it’s the former assumption.

He is now stuck in a marriage of convenience with two kids, that works well for the image and stage-managed events.

Furthermore, he cannot come out in Burmarrad. His old and backwoods parents would disown him, even if he is the prime minister.

  8. Rosie says:

Is it a real picture? Because if it is there is something wrong with this man.

  9. Alexander Ball says:

    It’s the clenched-buttock look.

  10. GD says:

As a gay male, I can assure you that his tactic is not working. On me nor the rest of the gay male population.

Unless some have a penchant for overweight adult babies.

  11. nistaqsi says:

How many jobs will be created by this charade?

How hypocritical can he get? He employs in his office a criminal convicted for a homophobic act and then pretends to be against homophobia.

  12. Natalie says:

Kurt Coconut should be fired. That photo looks like a criminal’s photo at some police station. Substitute the words on the plaque for some numbers and you’ll see what I mean.

  13. Lizz says:

They flogged the horse so much, it lost its front leg.

    Now they’ve removed it altogether.

  14. Gg says:

The PN treated gays with contempt, I wonder why he PL are taking advantage of it now. The PN considered gays as hamalli, pufi and paedophiles.

[Daphne – On the contrary, the Nationalist Party did not make a special case of gay people and fools mistook that for ‘contempt’. It is precisely because no special case or circus act was made of gay people in the Nationalist Party that these fools imagined there were none and were being ‘blocked’. It is the Labour Party which labelled gay men as pufti and thought of them as paedophiles, hence the ongoing rebranding crusade. Incidentally, exactly what does ‘hamalli’ have to do with it?

As a woman who entered the workforce and adult society in the misogynistic and chauvinistic 1980s, I can tell you through experience that it is exactly those people who make a special case of you who have marked you out as different and inadequate and who are therefore overcompensating and, in the process, patronising you. I refused to join any women’s groups or to accept inclusion in anything on the basis that I was a woman. If, in any situation, I was presented as a freak show – a woman who could actually write and who had political views – I left. Gay men (and women, though the women are smarter in this respect having already had the experience of being women) are very stupid indeed to allow themselves to be turned into circus acts and showcased by the inherent contradiction of ‘Look, see? This freak is actually quite a normal person.”

If you want people to think of you as normal, then just be normal. You’re not reinventing the wheel.]

Actually the PN have has the only, self declared homosexual man elected to parlament and now holding a high position within the party. In addition, it had a number of others holding high positions even up to the Prime Minister’s office.

And all of this was done in a very natural (as it should be) way.

    • Jozef says:

      Erm, not really, Gg.

I can assure you my many gay friends vote Nationalist and consider Muscat’s prototypes as hamalli.

What jars is the forced image compounded by an absolute vacuum between the ears.
