Manuel-and-Codruta’s walk of shame(lessness)

Published: November 25, 2014 at 6:29pm

Posted by No Edwardian beneath my post about how Pawlu l-Machine Gun, Manuel Mallia’s other driver, was waiting while armed next to GM14 in the school grounds during parents’ day at St Edward’s College:

The minister was in fact at St Edward’s yesterday for Parent’s Day with the Mrs.

At one point they walked (he wobbled actually) past a very long line of other parents as they waited outside the various classes.

Everyone noticed them but not a single person acknowledged them or even looked their way. In fact it was amusing to see ALL the parents turn their backs towards the couple and pretend they did not see them.

It must have been embarrassing for the couple as they walked the whole length of the college grounds without receiving as much as a nod or a greeting from anyone.

It must have felt like the proverbial ‘Walk of shame’.

I assure you that many of the parents present were NOT Nationalist supporters, quite the opposite in fact.

I actually felt sorry for them in a strange sort of way.

Is that a gun in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?

Manuel, Codruta and one of their drivers or bodyguards were at a festa in July. Out of all the people only a couple spoke to them. As they walked along, Manuel walked ahead and Codruta followed, chatting to the driver as if they were the couple.

Times of Malta reports that ‘Dr Mallia said he was never close to his driver, as had been wrongly claimed, and the first time he met him was when he was assigned to him as a driver. ‘ Not close, and he leaves his daughter with the driver’s mother?

The jerk in parliament is addressing the camera, not the president. Rabble rouser go kazin, xejn iktar.

I cannot see Leli walking the plank but I can just imagine another Labour parliamentarian in the background waiting for his chance to get hold of his Ministry, given that the Justice one is not up for grabs

The new Mintoff is making a show in Parliament.

He said that in 2015 workers will get a weekly tax free bonus Eur 35. Weekly, he said.

Jekk hemm in-nies f’riskju ta’ faqar għax ma jtihomx minn tiegħu. U dan minn meta ‘l hawn iridu jinvestu fl-edukazzjoni u fix-xogħol? F’sentejn fejn hu x-xogħol u l-edukazzjoni .. ma jaqbillux għax dawk li jibqgħu jitgħallmu jindunaw bl-ingann ta’ dan il-gvern.

Imma kemm jahsibna imbecilli is-sur Mallia ? Jekk veru l-ewwel rapport li dahal id-depot kien li xi hadd spara lejn il-karozza tieghu imissu telaq igri lejn il-Gzira biex jara li xejn ma gara lil bintu u mhux baqa bilqgheda id-depot. Jekk mill-banda l-ohra li qal huwa minnu allura ghadu kemm ikkonferma li hu missier bla qalb.

Baqa bilqeda id-depot…George you need to appreciate the huge effort required in order for the man to actually get up from a low chair to a standing position.

I suppose the dilemma at the time was whether to send the low-loader straight to the tunnels in order to remove the incriminating evidence, or else to the police HQ to load up the Minister and rush him to his child’s side at Sheehan’s house.

I guess we all know which of those options took priority.

Muscat is accusing Busuttil of being judge and jury and in the next sentence he descibes the shooting incident as a ‘bawxata’. Diga’ iddecieda li bawxata.

Oh how sweet, Manuel sent his boys to St Edward’s. He must have been so impressed at how well his client Meinrad Calleja turned out and hopes they’ll grow up to be just like him: in a laundry after 15 years of prison and 20 years of drug-dealing.
