Time for a change to PN, I think
I’m not generally one to do the uncivilised thing and rub salt into somebody’s wounds, but in this case I think I might be forgiven for doing so.
Will somebody ring Martin Scicluna and ask him what he thinks about the fact of gun-toting ministers’ drivers shooting at people in what now increasingly seems to be highly suspicious circumstances, followed by a major cover-up attempt including the towing away of the bullet-riddled car on high orders before the duty magistrate and district police arrived?
I can’t believe that people who have lived such a long and varied life in two countries, working for the governments of both, can have such catastrophically poor judgement and ruinous lack of insight into characters and personalities.
I mean, imagine actually voting to make Manuel Mallia, Chris Cardona, Joe Mizzi and Karmenu Vella ministers and that crap-artist – excuse the term – prime minister.
To say nothing, that is, of those sleazy hangers-on from a fossilised past who have now all been reincarnated in public office – revolting Joe Grima, nasty North Korea sympathiser Alex Sceberras Trigona and the rest of the Mintoffian ark.

Silk suits for the discerning ‘gumbah’.
Did Leisure Clothing produce a “Gumbah” line of silk suits for the discriminating don and his gino underlings?
Yes, they will bring up their child as convinced practising Roman Catholic parents.
Ghal wicc in-nies.
It’s probably to be eligible for (freebie) entrance into a church school.
That’s what they do in Sicily.
With all due respect to learned lawyers, an LL.D from the University of Malta does not make shady characters either decent or trustworthy. The PL is full of such pseudo lawyers, Low Life Dicks.
Why did you choose to pick specifically on LL.D? Any degree from any University does not make shady characters decent, RF.
Lovely pic hon!
In a shower cubicle! Nice!
A shower cubicle?
I thought it was the gents’ toilet.
Whatever. I mean, there are a couple of knobs.
Cleanliness is next to godliness!
Did you say Romanian? Well, enough said.
Do you still wonder why his driver needs to be armed?
How ironic! Very “Mary-like” indeed.
Magistrate Carol Peralta’s decision to allow the two accused Chinese persons out on bail in connection with the Leisure Clothing scandal raises a lot of questions.
Birds of a feather etc.

Hi Daphne. Your dedication in finding the truth deserve’s a thumbs up.
L-aqwa s-salib fuq sidirha.
I suggest you enlarge your view to his bro. You’ll end up writing a crime novel.
L-aqwa li l-maghmudija saret il-Millenium Chapel.
Who cares what Martin Scicluna thinks and writes.
But she has a cross hanging on her breast.
Manuel Mallia is in the most sensitive of ministerial posts: Interior Minister. And yet he is the least trusted minister of all. Most people in Malta today want to see the back of him, and think that he should resign or be kicked out.
Our minister of the Interior cannot light a candle to God during the day, and another candle to Satan during the night.
Meeting with a switcher (who thought I didn’t know) this morning:
Me: Hi. Haven’t seen you in a while.
(pleasantries)
She: And what do you think of this Manuel Mallia saga?
Me: Disgusting. Imagine what it would’ve been like had it been Austin Gatt’s driver. I’m surprised people like you are commenting. X told me you had no qualms in voting for Manuel Mallia last election.
She: (shocked that I dared mention it) Well, to be honest I thought he was one of us (I scoffed) I never expected this behaviour.
Me: I did. Thanks for lumping him on us.
She: Don’t be like that. There were 36,000 other people like me. We needed a change.
Me: Only 18,000. And f*** the change. We were doing damn well with all its faults.
She: We’re never going to agree on that. It was nice seeing you. Oh and X is a loudmouth. I thought I told her in confidence. Do a lot of people know?
Me: I don’t know. But I’m glad you’re ashamed. Ciao.
Not fair! You only get the ugly ones nude!
[Daphne – No naked pictures of this one, I’m afraid, Chris. At least, not yet.]
At this point, if I were in the Labour “movement”, I d started suspecting that Mallia was a Trojan horse planted by the nasty Nats.
That thought did go through my mind but did not survive more than a second. That Mallia twit was drooling over the (obviously expected) day when Muscat would be in power for 16 years or more and during which he would be making millions out of the IIP and other schemes that would come up from time to time, in cahoots with Muscat.
Actually it is Mallia who bosses Muscat. Reason for the non-resignation. It’s so obvious.
In all honesty you can’t be so naive. I can’t believe you’re being serious when you hint that you expected differently from Martin Scicluna. I’m sure you’re not one of those who stand in awe of the rubbish he has been writing all along, something I put to his old age, miskin. In fact I feel pity for the guy. Martin is very typical of a species who believe they’re so intellectually superior that they outsmart all others around them, who think that their utterances should occupy front page. In fact they are so damn stupid that they don’t even notice or realize that they are so damn stupid…so smart they are that they can never get themselves to admit their crass stupidity. These people should be ignored not pleaded with to come to their senses. They never will.
[Daphne – I forget that most Maltese don’t do irony. My apologies for not being literal.]
Martin Scicluna hu rrabjat u ddisgustat
Ahjar ghalih.
Ghax ghadu ma rciviex dak li talab?
What sheer hypocrisy.
Kemm hi sabiha is-sjoot!
I love the term ‘criminal lawyer’, it describes some people to a tee.
Classy.
Dear PM we know that you are pulling all the stops at the moment not to remove people like Mallia, Some think that that is because they have something over you.
Those who know anything about recruitment however know that the reason might be much simpler than that. A poor recruit exacts the heaviest toll on the RECRUITER, loss of face, foot in mouth scenarios, financial loss for the organization, disorganization in the relative department, ill-focused informal leaders, disgruntled subordinates, etc. So basically PM you could simply be trying to hide your humuingous lack of good judgement.
Please do not worry that you will be found out. It is only the dead and the utterly brainwashed who have not realized by now that the one at the helm has long since lost the plot. Perhaps you should ask for a pair of ear plugs for Christmas to keep out the call of Odysseus’s sirens.
Very well said, Daphne – x’ dizunur qed jaghmlilna dal-Gvern, inkredibli.
