Cyrus Engerer has put up a photograph of his and Randolph’s Christmas tree in their Brussels flat. Ahem.
For one brief moment there, I thought their Christmas fairy might actually be Perm Rep Marlene Bonnici’s chef de cabinet (Randolph) wearing one of those nice red latex catsuits with breast-zippers and a detachable cod-piece, an early Christmas present from fellow Dar Malta staff member (bending the rules re criminal record) Cyrus.

It’s an attempt to resolve the Pythagoras theorem – the one about a triangle with a 90 degree angle. The square of the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the square of the other two sides.
The guy is checking making sure that the angle is 90 degrees.
I’m fed up of people like Cyrus Engerer who post controversial artworks in hope of impressing people with their ‘intellectual’ open-minded view on what art is, or should be.
The piece might not be as ridiculous as it seems, but in this context, given who he is, and in the way he chose to take the photo to show it off as his Facebook cover photo, it is disgusting.
Is either Cyrus or Randolph even capable of holding that Kama Sutra position?
