Tony Zarb and his General Workers Union is the only thing, person or organisation, other than the market traders themselves, to express pleasure at the relocation of the market to city gate and its environs.
Why are we not surprised. Meanwhile, Mr Zarb, what are your views on Leisure Clothing’s labour practices?

Whenever I need advice on matters of design, aesthetics, or the philosophy of beauty, I turn to Toni Zarb. He has such exquisite taste.
Why, is Sandro Chetcuti not good enough, you ungrateful bastard!
I would love to get my aesthetic advice from Sandro Chetcuti, but he is a shy, retiring man, like all intellectuals. Indeed, you’d have a hard time finding him, since he lives in a nondescript house, the very picture of understatement.
Why does a workers’ union have a view on this?
It is because Tony Zarb does not want to walk all the way to Merchants Street to buy bloomers for his wife.

And what about the Enemalta employees?
Buying G strings shall become much easier for Tony Zarb. Just a few metres away from the GWU HQ.
To bring this saga to an end why doesn’t the government decide to put the market on Granaries Square? It is still a central and accessible place with equal distances between the bus terminal and the present/proposed location.

He can also get ‘toilet paper tal-kcina’ besides ‘lingerry’ on his way to work.
And where is he on the issue of the Enemalta workers ‘requesting’ a transfer?
He’s helping certain Enemalta workers by finding them a another job with the same salary.
Most of them ended up getting a job at Mater Dei

It just shows you how cultured these people are.
I’ll tell you why I am not surprised.
For many years, even recently, Mr Zarb spent the best part of summer in a box on a dirt patch in St Thomas Bay with his family.
His decision was based on a scientific report probably as always.

‘The suq will be aesthetically pleasing’, according to Tony Zarb. He will soon be appointed to Wirt Artna for his professional advice.
