UPDATED/Just in case you doubted that the six-million-euro carnival village is yet another Taghna Lkoll gift from public funds
Here’s Jason Busuttil, the man behind it all. UPDATE: He is a Labour Party employee – logistics and technical manager at the party broadcaster, One Productions.
Note how very in he is with Joseph Muscat, Jason Micallef and our man at the Court of St James. See also the photograph of him standing near a line of warehouses just like the design we were shown a couple of days ago, and which is going to cost the public six million euros.
Where the images include Facebook comments, be sure to read them because I will have included them for one reason or another.
Altogether now: TAGHNA LKOLL. And this is probably the most expensive Taghna Lkoll gift of all. Because, of course, you’re not just looking at the capital outlay, but all the running costs.

Kien hemm xi dubju?

And note that it was taken a year ago – so much for Willie’s ‘treasure hunt’.
We will soon start seeing people lighting candles and praying to Joseph Muscat, the miracle maker.
Earlier, Dr Muscat invited one and all to ask himself or herself a question: “Are you better off today than you were two years ago?” He then answered the question himself, saying that the country is much better off with controlled cost of living, salaries going up, unemployment going down and the country’s debt decreasing for two consecutive years.
He described this as a small economic miracle, given that all this is happening without the government resorting to increasing taxes.

Just imagine how different carnival will be, folks.
Okay, you got the point, nothing will change, but let’s switch gear for a moment.
Six million is a lot of money for more of the same awful carnival floats, but that’s a pin prick when you consider that we pour close to 250 million euros annually in debt servicing, over half a billion euros in contributions to the current EU multi-annual budget, and over another half a billion in debt guarantees to the euro-zone bailout fund at relative negative rates.
There he goes – having it good in Brussels and all the while ranting against the EU. The man is out of his depth.
I see the man went to Viareggio; Tuscany’s Blackpool which had to re-invent itself the moment Forte dei Marmi, a couple of kilometers up the coast, became the preferred playground of the rich and famous.
Viareggio’s Liberty style beach resorts remain Versilia’s finest.

So he thinks he can dance, yeah right. Just look at the size, dry wit, crispness in content and refinement in execution. No auto referential cats and piggies dropping in on carnival.

Where this Jason Busuttil got the idea, had his photo taken, ara x’imhazen u hafna ndafa he said. Guess why Jason.

No holds barred, three dimensional offensive cartoons, and no performing arts and rock band fillers to justify the investment. It proved feasible Internal tourism once Forte became the honey trap for kids posing in their 18th birthday Porsche.
Not that one’s to expect anything else from the anarchist region. This Busuttil would be banished immediately, di sinistra he isn’t.
How many millions are we exactly ‘investing’ in carnival, including trips and hosting, in and out of Malta?

My God. But is everybody going mad on this nice island of ours?
No – only the PL and its supporters and hangers-on. Do not put us all in the same basket, please.
In the fourth picture from the top, Jason Busuttil’s jeans are about to burst. I suppose that is why he is standing up.

Hands in pocket is a sign of discomfort wearing a business ‘syoot’; he is not used to it.
