This is what the government planned all along

The Sunday monti will also be relocated to Ordnance Street and the larger number of Sunday permit holders means that stalls will spill out of the limited space and into other areas of the city.

De Valette Square, part of Merchants’ Street and part of South Street are likely to be the Sunday spillover locations for stalls, the government has said.

See. An honest government telling one and all how it plans to consolidate Valletta. After all it is a city build by gentlemen for … the hawkers?

This is such a better idea than the cheese grater or the roofless theatre. So we have made an embellishment project and now we are going to cover it all up with monti stalls. As the Piano people said, making a cake and spitting on it.

Thanks to the previous administration, there is also space available in front of Queen Victoria’s memorial. Perfect spill out for the market.

Tal-Labour, li ma jaghmlu xejn fil-belt Valletta mhux bizejjed ghalihom. Biex ikunu sodisfatti rridu jkissru dak li sar tajjeb matul l-amministrazzjoni Nazzjonalista. Ghax inkellha ma jimxux fuq d-dutrina tal-ghira li halla warajh Mintoff.

I haven’t been to Bieb il-Belt since 2008 so I’m not sure of the scene, but I came across these smashing four knights, here, and I’m at a loss: is ‘Zieme’ the three-legged EU horse on the opposite side, or was that a prank?

Perhaps Times of Malta would like to show us the new Paris.

If the USA is obsessed with the future to fill a past, China’s obsessed with how to keep both away from its people.

No flea markets in sight either.
