Not so much ‘all in the family’ as ‘all the family on the state payroll’

Cheryl Azzopardi, daughter of Economy Minister Chris Cardona’s chief of staff Mario Azzopardi (owner of Pardi and Scruples boutiques) has been put on the payroll at the Malta Gaming Authority, which is in her father’s boss’s portfolio.

She’s got that pole-dancer look about her that the Economy Minister really goes for, but now I discover that she’s not just his chief of staff’s daughter. She’s also his law partner’s girlfriend.

Yes, Cheryl Azzopardi is seeing Mark Vassallo, who is twice her age and deeply unattractive, but who is the minister’s business partner so that makes up for everything else in the style of Taghna Lkoll. Mark Vassallo and Chris Cardona have had a law firm together for years – CV Advocates.

Vassallo is also a lawyer for PBS, and was Joe Azzopardi’s and Lou Bondi’s business partner and fellow shareholder in Where’s Everybody.
