The farce goes on: university-approval commission considers application from construction company

How can you ‘approve’ a university that isn’t a university? What are they approving and reviewing, exactly? A set of syllabuses and curriculums? That’s not a university.
Barts and Middlesex, also mentioned here, are not new universities, but offshoots of existing ones.
Turns out here that Martin Scicluna’s commission wrote the legal notice that lowers standards, which is why he is defending it.
