UPDATED/The government’s list of naturalised Maltese citizens has been sorted by surname

Published: August 2, 2015 at 8:29am

The government on Friday published the list of naturalised Maltese citizens for 2014, including those who bought their citizenship, though these are not indicated as having done that.

The list, for reasons best known to the government, is sorted by alphabetical order based on the first (given) name, rather than by surname/family name as has been done throughout the normal, civilised world since any such list has needed to be taken.

Never mind. Since I uploaded the list last night, a few readers took the time and trouble to convert it manually to alphabetical order by surname, and I found them in my inbox this morning.

That’s one of the benefits of having such top-quality readers – we owe them. Thank you.

The lists came in Excel format, but that’s not suitable for upload so I have converted one to PDF.
