Failed Labour candidate Charlie Azzopardi paid €17,000 a year in public funds

Failed Labour Party general election candidate Charlie Azzopardi, who is known in the media as a “family therapist” (he’s the one who went nowhere without his sunglasses glued to the top of his head), is paid €17,000 a year in public funds as Social Policy and Family Minister Michael Farrugia’s occasional adviser on “family issues”.

The information was given in parliament in response to a question put by Opposition MP Kristy Debono.

It strikes me that he has his work cut out with the Minister and his immediate circle of friends alone.

I’ve taken a look at his Facebook page and am astonished to discover that he is a Far Right committed xenophobe who hates and fears Muslims, is bitterly anti-Semitic, and admires totalitarian and cruel despots like Saddam Hussein, Muammar Gaddafi and Vladimir Putin.
