Malta’s fundraiser-in-chief has said that from now on, only registered NGOs will be eligible for donations from the Malta Community Chest Fund, and this “in the interest of transparency”.

Transparency can best be guaranteed where the Community Chest Fund is concerned by having its accounts and methods audited, but the Community Chest Fund has consistently refused this.

It talks about registered NGOs when it is not even a registered charity itself – because that requires auditing.
