Guess who’s making a big show and fuss because he has to be in parliament for a long session

It’s our very own Mark Abela, who’s making the most incredible big deal about having to be in parliament for a long debate. He seems to miss the point that this is exactly what he is supposed to do.

But I imagine he believes he was elected to feel important and to do nothing much for lots of money. His is the mentality of a loafer. These are the sort of people who would never survive in a mid- to high-level job in the private sector, which is one of the reasons why they hitch themselves on to the petticoats of the Labour Party and get a free ride.

Oh, and look at Dorothy Busuttil Fitzpatrick’s comment: her poor, poor husband, working all those long hours with “no rest and no off”.

“No off”. Please God deliver Malta from this tidal wave of hamalli.

At least you know where he is for a change, Mrs Busuttil. He could so easily have been hdejn il-Queens. Now you can monitor him on Parliament TV.

As for her husband, he should thank God he’s got a smartphone and an internet connection and can spend his L-O-N-G marathon session in parliament fiddling around on Facebook and Twitter and browsing social media sites and groups like Miss Culetto.
