Serendipity is truly a wonderful thing. So, because the architect Claude Mallia featured in this blog-post this morning, readers with access to his Facebook page discovered that he worked for the Labour Party’s general election campaign and also that he was Phyllis Muscat’s appointee to the post of ‘venue manager’ for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (see below).
That explains it. It must have been the first time ever in the history of Maltese events planning that an architect was put in charge (you can see the Taghna Lkoll reasoning: venue, therefore architect) rather than somebody trained at hotel management school and with years of experience working for a destination management company or a 5-star international hotel chain.
