Bad news, chaps: Debbie Tad-Divorzju joins the cabinet instead of Michael Falzon

I’m not too sure about this resignation malarkey. If you were to ask me whether Michael Falzon should resign, I’d say YES. But if you were to ask me instead to choose between Deborah Schembri and Michael Falzon, I’d say MICHAEL FALZON. There’s nothing about her that tells me she’s the better person.

But then I imagine Joseph Muscat has given up rummaging around in his skip. He’s got to the point where he has no choice but to swill around in that gungy stuff that collects at the bottom of the bin when you’ve left your food waste there for too long.

That makes two very close friends in the cabinet for Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando now – Michael Farrugia and Deborah Schembri – plus one hostage, Joseph Muscat.
