Construct Furniture is one of the participants in SJ Kappara K.V., the consortium which two weeks ago was awarded the €22.5 million government tender for the construction of the Kappara junction flyover.
In his New Year video message, partly delivered from a Construct Furniture kitchen, the Prime Minister tried to pass off Fernando Agius, whose grandfather John Camilleri, a brother to Piju Camilleri, set up Construct Furniture and whose mother is one of the owners of the company, as an ordinary working-class young man who with his wife managed to buy his first home thanks to Muscat’s government’s special benefits for first-time buyers.
