Company owned by ‘ordinary working-class man’ in PM’s New Year video given Dar Malta contract of almost half a million euros

Construct Furniture, the large furniture operation which is owned by the mother of Fernando Agius – the ‘ordinary working-class man’ in the Prime Minister’s New Year video message – and her siblings was given a contract worth almost half a million euros last summer for the supply of office furniture, doors and partitions at Dar Malta in Brussels.

Fernando Agius, who the Prime Minister tried to pass off to us as an ordinary working-class man who bought his home and kitchen with hard work and tax benefits under the Labour government. He is a scion of Malta's largest furniture company, Construct Furniture, which was set up by his grandfather John Camilleri, a brother to notorious Lorry Sant frontman, thug and Zonqor Point landowner Piju Camilleri.
