Her husband’s government is in crisis, but Michelle Muscat goes to the spa
My sources inform me that though the Prime Minister stayed in Gozo over the weekend (and is still there today), Mrs Muscat lunched without him yesterday, at the Baldakkin Lounge, the main restaurant at the Kempiniski, accompanied by a “Maltese Canadian man and a woman who seemed to be her personal assistant”.
Where was the Prime Minister?
Mrs Muscat had spent the morning in the spa and came to table with wet hair, a bright red face and wearing dark sunglasses (indoors, on a grey day) which she kept on throughout lunch. She ate her soup with both elbows on the table and the spoon dangling from her right hand, threw her weight around with the staff, gave orders in bad English, and then announced loudly that she was returning to Malta “minhabba t-tfal”.
