Vitals ‘Global Healthcare’ throws big Christmas party at St Julian’s hotel last night
Vitals ‘Global Healthcare’, the start-up company to which Konrad Mizzi has signed over the running of three of Malta’s public hospitals, threw a big Christmas bash at the Westin Dragonara hotel in St Julian’s last night.
The party appears to have been divided into two, with ordinary and badly dressed guests (I won’t use the H word, in case people jump down my throat) segregated, in a hall with a buffet supper and blaring music, from the privileged guests – men wearing black tie and women in evening gowns, who sat down to dinner in another room. Ram Tumuluri and some other Indian gentlemen from overseas were the hosts.
Phyllis Muscat, the Prime Minister’s special friend, was prominently in attendance, as was Mary Spiteri, the Labour Party’s long-time chanteuse, in full regalia with a mink stole, who was caught complaining in the lift that “a coloured man” had given her the wrong directions to the garage.
