UPDATED/10,000 cubic metres of gas coming in tomorrow/Prime Minister’s office to fly drone over it for propaganda film
UPDATED AT 11PM: Berthing in Marsaxlokk bay, originally scheduled for 8am tomorrow, has been postponed to Wednesday morning.
Ten thousand cubic metres of liquefied natural gas will arrive in Marsaxlokk bay tomorrow at 8am (see update above) on the MV Galea. This will be used to commission Electrogas Malta Ltd’s power station by cooling the floating storage unit’s tanks to the required temperature for the start of operations.
The MV Galea arrived in Maltese waters today, but has been diverted to anchorage area 3 East, where it will remain overnight. The Office of the Prime Minister has requested permission from the maritime authorities to “fly a drone for filming purposes” as the MV Galea berths in Marsaxlokk. This will be used for a government propaganda video for the upcoming general election.
