Coldwatergate: Joe Gerada is the weakest link

Look at this chump. On Saviour Balzan’s I’m-in-the-government’s-pocket show on TVM earlier tonight, the Minister for the Economy, Christian Cardona, drowned out Beppe Fenech Adami with cries of “GIDBA! DIK GIDBA!” each time he attempted to say that Joe Gerada, his EU Presidency policy officer and travelling companion, took down his Facebook page early on Tuesday morning before I had mentioned his name or gave any indication that I knew who the bald man was who visited the Velbert brothel with Cardona.

In fact, in the report I uploaded on Monday night, I made it quite obvious that I didn’t know who the bald man was and neither did my source, except for saying that he looked a lot like Neville Gafa, that other sleaze.

Now despite his boss’s howls on television that he did not take down his Facebook page, Gerada shows him up to be a massive liar by admitting that yes, he did take it down – and stupidly, he says that he did it to stop me taking photos of him from it. But why on earth would I have wanted to take photos from it if he wasn’t at the brothel with the Minister and I had made it quite clear that I had no idea who the bald man was and neither did my source?

What an idiot – not only does he give the game away, but he makes his boss out to be a liar – not that we didn’t know it already. Note to Joe Gerada: the first thing a successful liar has got to do is get the chronology right and then, if there is another liar involved, dove-tail it so that you are both lying to the same time-table and both lying about the same things.

So, for example, if you are presented with the problem of your having taken down your Facebook page before your name was mentioned, decide whether you are going to say that it’s not true that you took or down, or whether you are going to make some excuse for having taken it down.

P.S. How’s the water temperature in your home shower? Gej bil-point of clarification, ukoll.
