Muscat makes “frantic phone calls” to EPP sec-gen, begging for photographs

Antonio López-Istúriz White, secretary-general of the European People’s Party (EPP), which met in Malta today, said at a press conference that he had received “frantic telephone calls” from Prime Minister Joseph Muscat, asking to be photographed with the EPP.

The EPP is the largest political grouping in the European Parliament, to which Nationalist MEPs belong. Labour MEPs belong to the Party of European Socialists.

If only more people would reveal, in this manner, the ridiculous and demeaning behind-the-scenes efforts of the Prime Minister in his search for PR opportunities and photographs for use in his upcoming electoral campaign.
