Keith Schembri, the Prime Minister’s chief of staff, rang Seyed Ali Sadr Hasheminejad, the Iranian with a St Kitts & Nevis passport who owns Pilatus Bank, the morning following the night-time scenes (see below) in which Hasheminejad, together with the bank’s risk manager Antoniella Gauci, were filmed removing bags of documents from the bank in Ta’ Xbiex.

The call was made to Hasheminejad’s mobile phone.

The furtive removal of documents took place on Thursday night. Early on Friday morning, Hasheminejad was in the lift at Whitehall Mansions. A woman (known to this website) who works at another office in the same building was also in the lift.

“His phone rang and I could see the name KEITH SCHEMBRI flash up clearly,” she told this website. “He answered it as quickly as he could and until he got out of the lift, the conversation was all monosyllabic Yes and No, because I was there.”

Schembri has an account at Pilatus Bank in his personal name, and also an account for his Panama-registered company Tillgate Inc.
