Keith Schembri sends his lawyers to face the press outside the Courts of Justice

The only way we know that Keith Schembri exists is by the trail of offshore companies and bank accounts, his late-night telephone calls to Saviour Balzan, and more lately, his Facebook posts.

Other than that, he is completely invisible. Today, after the news that the inquiring magistrate has found grounds for his criminal investigation for money-laundering and taking kickbacks, the Prime Minister’s chief of staff dispatched his lawyers to face the press on the steps of the Courts of Justice.

How fascinating to see that one of those lawyers is the dreadful Pawlu Lia (left – the other is Edward Gatt). He seems to make a fetish out of defending Labour Party sleazeballs and convincing himself that they’re innocent and persecuted by the Evil Daphne and her small army of black cats.
