A bankrupt 73-year-old racist who owes one bank €12m, who despises gay men and can’t take criticism from women: what a great Opposition leader for Malta
These are the points I made in response to individuals commenting beneath this article in The Malta Independent.
1. This is supposed to be a proper newspaper and not the Facebook page of an unbalanced politician. And as a proper newspaper, it should not be describing reports about the massive bank debts of a contender for the Opposition leadership as “attacks”. They are not attacks but reports in the public interest.
2. Frank Portelli should never have been a contender in the first place. He is a 73-year-old man being chased by HSBC Bank for the 12 million euros he owes it. There are many more creditors besides the bank, all unpaid. Anybody who thinks this situation is normal or acceptable is cracked.
3. The life of anybody who owes HSBC Bank 12 million euros is a misery already. Seeking to blame it on others is the usual narcissistic drivel.
4. This is a fresh definition of nuts: wanting an Opposition leader who is being chased by HSBC Bank for the 12 million euros he owes it. And this is not an “attakk fahxi” but a fact: look up the notice published in the Government Gazette.
5. I have no favourite candidate. They are all totally unsuitable. Two are far more unsuitable than the other two because of their massive bank debts. Frank Portelli is also unsuitable for various other reasons, which sensible people can work out from the weird manner in which he communicates.
6. “Unjust attack” = reporting that a contender for the Opposition leadership is being chased by HSBC Bank for the 12 million euros he owes it. Malta is a world unto itself.
And this is an important point raised by somebody else, going under the name of T. Borg:
When two of four PN leadership contestants, Portelli and Delia, repeat and regurgitate Labour’s propaganda, then really the PN has a problem. The problem will be ten times bigger if either one of the two passes on to the second round.
