Is there anybody normal in Maltese public life? That is a serious question. Maybe I should stretch it a little further and ask whether there is anybody normal in Malta, because at this rate I’m beginning to have doubts.

Do men like this force their way into public life because of their dysfunctional personality, or is their dysfunctional personality representative of more generalised problems in Maltese society?

Look at these two. Please don’t in any way try to rationalise any aspect of this as normal.
