Nice ways to display contempt

I'm so fascinating that even my people are galvanised

While Joseph Muscat was all worked up, delivering his rousing speech in parliament last night and telling us that there is no future, Jose Herrera read L-orizzont, Alfred Sant read a book and yawned, and Anglu Farrugia – his deputy leader, if you please – chatted with fans on Facebook.

Ship of fools.

Min jaf it-Tander (Alex Saliba) x’kien qed jaghmel!

I burst out laughing when he didn’t allow Gonzi to finish his sentence when interviewed.. ‘Hallini ha nispicca”!! ja skoss maledukati.

[Daphne – Yes, I thought it was him. So now Labour is sending out its FZL mandarins to moonlight as Super One reporters.]

  2. Spiru says:

Insomma, pre 2008 election, PN sent an MP moonshining as a journalist.

[Daphne – And lived to regret it.]

    • J Schembri says:

Spir, you are right and Daphne is right and Joe Saliba did the right thing.
That press conference recouped some of what was lost previously because of the same MP who’s main job was in land speculation.

    • Zachary Stewart says:

I think you mean “moonlighting” as a journalist. The word “moonshining” suggests that he was brewing illicit booze in a bathtub.

    “Ship of fools”

And with a deserving captain, I must add.

  4. il-predecessur says:

Martin Luther King had his ‘I have a dream’ speech on human rights. John Fitzgerald Kennedy had his ‘ask not what your country can do..’ speech on patriotism and now our Joseph has his ‘il-predecessuri’ speech on how to avoid embarrassing Alfred Sant by referring to old Dom as our predecessor.

I nearly forgot Anglu’s ‘taks force’ speech , and Tonio Borg’s ‘il-misteru ta’ Fatima’ .

  5. Manuel Camilleri says:

Precisely – a ship full of fools
