COMPETITION (BUT WITH NO PRIZE)
Let’s have a competition, just for fun.
Who is writing the Mile End Dwarf’s letters to the press? It’s definitely not the Mile End Dwarf. This is not his grammar and syntax.
“It is pertinent to note that in his reaction…”: iva, dak Kurt, fuq kull sieq.
Most Maltese can’t pick up on the fact that ‘if’ is generally followed by the present tense, not the future or the conditional or whatever variant of those, and Kurt is definitely one of them.
People in the Labour Party who are capable of writing the last sentence of this letter are very, very few and far between. And before you say ‘Marisa Micallef’ – no, I think that’s wrong. This is almost certainly a man writing, not a Maltese woman. I just get that feeling. Marisa’s writing has always been very school-girly and like chewing-gum, stretching all over the place.
Edward Scicluna? He’s my best guess. But let’s have yours.
But first, a parting insult: A DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS WHO CAN’T EVEN WRITE HIS OWN LETTERS. P.A.T.H.E.T.I.C. How did he get the job? He’s the one who should be writing letters for people in the party, and not the other way round.
I suppose this what the man they call Joseph means by a METTOKRAZIJA: those who aren’t fit for the job still get it, depending on who they know.
My God, x’imbarrazz.

Facts and ‘mud’
Reference is made to the news article Muscat Accused Of Mud-Slinging (May 14).
It is pertinent to note that in his reaction Claudio Grech confirmed all the facts which Joseph Muscat spoke about on Sunday morning when addressing supporters in Naxxar on the theme of making Malta more genuinely meritocratic.
If Mr Grech sees these facts as “mud”, then we all have very good reason to be concerned about the way GonziPN is managing Malta.

Lino Spiteri.
The news item on Maltastar is writen in the same vein.

The spokesperson mentioned in the news item is the one who wrote the letter to the Times.
“Speaking during a political party meeting in Naxxar, the PL leader Joseph Muscat argued that Mr Grech had merely changed his job description and the government did not have the decency to inform the public about this. Grech accused Joseph Muscat of mud-slinging. The PL spokesperson noted that in his reaction Claudio Grech confirmed all the facts which Joseph Muscat spoke about on Sunday morning. The PL spokesperson said that If Claudio Grech sees these facts as ‘mud’, then we all have very good reason to be concerned about the way GonziPN is managing Malta.”
Could be John Attard Montaldo but I doubt if he could be bothered somehow.
It must be the Wizard of Oz. Gaurdian of all munchkins.
This could be Marisa.

Childish, patronising and counterproductive, the mindset of a demoted snake.
U ajma, why’s it so hard to believe that this Kurt guy wrote this letter? There’s nothing exceptional about the last line – quite basic English really. I highly doubt Scicluna is going to take time out to write a letter to The Times for someone else.
[Daphne – Of course the last is exceptional (for Malta), Ian. It’s the details which give it away. And why wouldn’t Scicluna do it, when he does so much else?]
Because I think he’s above being a ghost writer “ghall-partit”…especially for such a short, relatively innocuous letter!
[Daphne – As if. Why should be be above ghost-writing a letter on behalf of the Labour Party, when he’s not above standing for election on its embarrassing ticket. Or appearing on Super One.]
