Unbelievable

Anthony DeGiovanni, president of the Ghaqda Veterani Laburisti, was one of the students at the party leaders’ campus debate.
This isn’t sarcasm. He really was one of the students.
In his great old Labour veteran age, he’s a third-year law student. Because, you know, that really would have been possible under Labour.
Then he goes to the debate to howl against Lawrence Gonzi for being a bastard who can’t run the country and whose evil Nationalist Party systematically denies people opportunities.
Trid tkun il-vera mne**ek minn mohhok, insomma. Mhux ta’ b’xejn Laburist.

There’s one at every debate, isn’t there? Victor Laiviera starred in the last edition of this show.
Are you sure he is studying law?
Bil-kartanzjan dahal l-universita’.
I sometimes ponder how come an intelligent person would choose to vote Labour or worse still join the movement in a committed manner.
It is such an oxymoron. The only plausible answer would be that they assume they will be better and do not care if the country is ruined in the process.
At one time, just before he retired, he was promoted director for EU affairs at the department of health. This would not have happened under a MLP administration.
Having Mr. before ones name on a visiting card is the epitome of bad taste and pomposity.
Veterani – I can’t see the future.
Shouldn’t Anthony deGiovanni of the Veterani Laburisti be enjoying the company of persons like Karmenu Vella Il-Guy, Leo Brincat, Joe Debono Grech, Alex Sceberras Trigona, Edward Scicluna, MintoffYana, George Vella, and Emmanuel Mallia?
They are the ones who qualify as Veterani Laburisti, not the university students.
we are on the verge of making the 2nd republic. Now after the “aristokrazija tal haddiema” back in the 80’s, we are giving birth to the “aristokrazija ta l-istudenti”,God deliver us from all evils.
He is in fact a third year law student Daphne.
There were also 1 metre tall elves.
Perhaps Anthony was looking for Eddy Privitera.
Looks like it’s become a pre-requisite that to be a top Labour official you’ve got to be a lawyer
Maybe he changed his surname to DeGiovani.
I write to protest at the fact that at yesterday’s meeting there were no policemen to make sure that only STUDENTS entered the hall.
There were followers of ex KMB and other MLP supporters.
May I ask why DOLORES CRISTINA WAS NOWHERE TO BE SEEN is she still a minister enjoying all the perks that come with it or because she is not contesting the elections she could not be bothered.
As a fervent follower of our party PN I fail to understand this indifference and ask for an explanation for such actions.
I wish to thank Mrs Daphne Caruana Galizia Vella for kindly promoting the Veterani Laburisti Website on her blog. The Association of Labour Veterans is most propably the senior citizen organisation in Malta with the greatest number of members. Two of its National Executive members represent the organisation in the Kunsill Nazzjonali tal-Anzjani. The GH.V.L is members of the European Senior Organisation (PES) that organised its last year international congress in Malta. The GHVL organised several semininars and conferences on the theme of old age withthe participation of all the major senior organisations in Malta, including APAN, KNA and AP.
[Daphne – It’s Daphne Caruana Galizia, actually, not Daphne Caruana Galizia Vella. Much as I would love to tack my own surname onto my husband’s, I prefer to leave scenarios involving three surnames to people like Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando Smith. The Caruana Galizias are all, in any case, technically Caruana Galizia Vella, but I won’t bother explaining why.]
And what did you conclude at these conferences? That pensioners are better off outside the European Union?
You’re a bunch of freebooting scum, the lot of you.
European this, and international that, and European organisation the other, when you’ve worked all your life to wall this island off from Europe and the rest of the world.
Hey DeGio, you counting the dead ones too?
Dear ex-Director of Education, “probably” is spelt with two b’s.
