Pathetic!

What’s this supposed to be? A modern day ode to shoe fetishism?
Are we really expected to buy this song?
Is this even code-switching (rather than complete lunacy)? Somebody’s got to tell Lydia Sciriha.
Is she into trampling?
Meta z-zaqq tghaddi s-sider, iz-zarbun ma jibqax jidher.
Where is the ponta? Ħa nħabbat rasi magħha.
Bagoll? I need the sick borza.
Horrible song. I don’t like it at all.
Jiena hsibtha cajta din.

Oh God! Kill me now!
Kill me, now!
Music died in 1990.
OMG.
Ghogbitni prosit chiara.
You could say it’s a sign of the time we live in.
If we’re going to be brutally honest, Chiara’s ZARBUN has got be an engineering marvel … wouldn’t you say it deserves a song at least?
Cadillac backseats have had songs dedicated to them, so why not her ZARBUN?
Apparti li hi repetittiva, hija bla sens.
A disappointment for sure, especially if according to Chiara it’s supposed to relaunch her career
And the co-singer’s name is HAFFI … maybe she should lend him her Zarbun… Is there a folly virus going round in Malta?
Oh my God almighty.
Her voice and pronunciation are spot on, as usual, the tune s catchy and it has a really good hook. It only sounds weird to us because of our linguistic/cultural baggage. Listen to it with the ears of a foreigner and it sounds no weirder than a song with, say, a refrain in Spanish.
Din Chiara have Cinderella’s glass slipper in mind or what?
What next? Joe Demicoli and “My Cinturin of the Bazwa”?
With the sort of feedback Chiara is receiving about this song on Youtube, wouldn’t want to be in her zarbun right now.

Most of the comments on FB are crucial in helping one understand without the need of televoting questions, research and statistics, what level the Maltese are in.

The Maltese people will soon be recognised, worldwide, for their culture of bad eating habits, poor reading preferences and disastrous music choices.
A healthy society indeed!
Chiara’s new song “Zarbun” had a very large amount of dislikes (over a 1000) and just a few likes (about 200). Some kind of magic has occurred because the video now has 1618 likes and no dislikes at all. Very strange indeed.
