How nice to see that President Merilweez can now ‘act for all Maltese’

Times of Malta, yesterday’s print edition:

I was under the sadly mistaken impression that everyone who is in politics is in politics to work for all Maltese and not just for their supporters.

Interesting how she wasn’t ‘able’ to do so previously.
Is yesterday’s traffic proof the newly appointed el presidentessa doesn’t really trust the new minister’s ability to oversee their ministry’s function?
One must remember Muscat had enforced a regime where every request by the forsaken was to be channelled to specially appointed desks in Castille, under Michelle’s benevolent, if selective, watch.
Let’s hope all those relatives who Marie Louise Coleiro put on the state payroll at the Social Policy Ministry do not go with her to the Palace.
To be fair, her political party only recently decided that “Malta taghna l-koll” and it looks like they still have to come to terms with the idea.
Oh so its only NOW that she will be able to act for all Maltese? So who was she acting for before ?
Her Freudian slip is showing.
Gimmicks, and more of them for the whole nation once she sets foot at San Anton Palace.
For correctness sake let us refer to her as La Presidenta.
But I was under the impression that her agenda was to focus her efforts on the most vulnerable.
Freudian slip? I doubt it. I am afraid that Mrs Coleiro Preca will turn the Presidency into another Ministry, with an office also in Gozo.
Pity she did not utter a single word to act for all Maltese when she was secretary general to the MLP when Mintoff, her saviour, was screwing the tertiary education system in Malta.
Her Salvatur did a lot more damage to Malta and the Maltese than screw up the tertiary education system – some of us steadfastly believe that he had the blood of Maltese people on his hands – her very close political position to her Salvatur and his henchmen means she would have known a lot more than she has ever stated publicly about the criminal acts perpetrated in the name of her MLP. This so called lady only has a ‘ bleeding heart’ for certain sections of Maltese society – for decades she has shown a cold blooded disregard for the remainder of Maltese society.

Although I thankfully did not live through the Golden Years, I have no doubt this is the case. It’s not the first time I’ve had my peers describe how their parents’ lives were ruined by Mintoff and his cohorts. They may not have killed them directly, but the state they left them in definitely sent them to their graves early.
I just wish that Labour Ministers would follow her example.
There are numerous civil servants who have given years of good service, but who have now been put away in offices, doing nothing, apart from keeping each other company.
This is beyond me, an ex minister stating that only now she will be able to act for all Maltese. Statement like this. ONLY IN MALTA.COM

Not only is she dumb but she’s also fake. How can she justify the celebrations in Qormi and Luqa?
Now it is obvious why that condescending snob Peter Apap Bologna is licking up to Merilweez. According to the Times on line Merilweez is related to the Russian Royal family.
Some rumours have it that the reason was because his family were going to get another big fat contract but I tend to go for the former reason.
[Daphne – Marie Louise Coleiro is most definitely not related to the Russian royal family. One of her grandparents’ first cousins was married to Nathalie Poutiatine, a desperately impoverished Russian refugee with few choices, who ran a ballet school. They didn’t even have children. The real reason Peter Apap Bologna is sucking up is a combination of factors: his rancid bitterness, his need to rebel in odd ways because he can’t do what he really needs to do and get out of that closet instead of going to his grave still in it, and his hunger for money. I suppose Peter now feels he has a way in with the new president because her spiritual director (Gordon Refalo, an exceedingly nice man and a decent one) is a first cousin once removed, if we must get into these things, of Peter’s wife. No doubt he will be trading on this.]
