I’m perplexed at the amount of interest this story has generated. Since I began posting about it on 30 January, this blog has had more than a million views. We passed the million mark today, at this point by around 27,000.
Believe me, I’m stunned.

D, ever heard of internet marketing? You SHOULD try it.
[Daphne – Thanks for the tip, Wayne, but I’m not your typical 40s Facebook user. So yes, I do know rather a lot about internet marketing.]
You should start selling advertising space.
[Daphne – Anyone who wants to sell it has got the job. But it’s not going to be me.]
Veru congrats: it’s la voce nel deserto, and this blog has revealed a very interesting point, as far as I’m concerned.
Some of the so-called free press in this country doesn’t dare speak about these issues. Great stuff, D.
IMO it IS nicer without ad space – clean and simple – kind of more individualistic.
Daphne,
You should have enough material to publish ‘The Best of Daphne’ with suitable notes, pictures and reactions.
I’ll be the first one to buy an autographed copy from you!
U le, because she’ll outsell Ira, jahasra.
I’ve always wanted to re-read your early work in The Times.
Very good idea, it would make very good birthday presents. Oh and by the way, thank you for reconnecting me with my favourite “film star’, Miss Piggy. I loved in her in my youth – well I still do. Keep up the good work, Daphne, besides giving us the bare truth you always manage to start my day with a BIG smile.
Well, you cannot deny the “tabloid” appeal in these 1 million+ views.
I must say I’ve been hooked in the past weeks and can hardly keep up with your posts (in between trying to do some work). I am not interested in what actors/singers/pseudo-famous people do or don’t do in their public or private lives.
But when one actually gets a glimpse of the wheels within wheels within wheels at work in our little country, after having heard rumours of how a demimonde runs the place all my life, I must say that I admire your courage in publishing what you do.
We are all very comfortable sitting behind our computers reading this, but in the end you are the one who meets police at your door or who has to face the music in court – while everybody is egging you on for more.
I would like to say that I only disagree in that some of your posts boil down to school-yard name-calling. I understand that emotions run high but I don’t think you need to get down to this. The substantive content of your posts is dynamite enough and would be better off without such posts.
[Daphne – The jokes, I’m afraid, are essential.]
The article “Allegations against magistrate noted by Commission for Administration of Justice”. which appeared in today’s timesofmalta.com elicited just two comments. Difficult to comprehend when this blog has generated such enormous interest. My comment was ignored.
