Consuelo Scerri Herrera knows that I have cast-iron information that will make her position and that of a police superintendent completely untenable.
This information will force her resignation, make a motion for her impeachment inevitable and, if it is not successful – which it will not be given that she is backed by Labour and Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando – make it necessary for the Chief Justice to relieve her of her case load.
I have said already that I will speak about this only under oath.
Until then, the Labour Party and the General Workers Union, which have tied their flags to her mast, will use every dirty trick in their extensive book to try and stop me.
They won’t.
After 20 years, they should have worked out who and what they’re dealing with here. They call me a bully. The reality is that – as many people have discovered over the years, from school to work to society – I am someone who can’t be bullied, not because I am a bully myself but because I stand up to bullies wherever I find them.

Those in the Labour Party, and their pets, are not paid to bully journalism, whatever shape it takes in this modern day, as long as it is not mere speculation, like that of it-Torca. I could detect a trait of that also in Astrid’s letter to the Independent yesterday, where it puts several journalists under attack and then speculates about Daphne’s writings about the critics of the Piano project.
The Labour Party, in its institutional role of the Opposition, and their media, should be closely examining our institutions, government included, and calling a spade a spade, even if it happens that one of their lot is involved in some rot.
Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando should know better than to trust the Labour Party, after all they put him through in the last election. Jeffrey, all of us who stood by you deserve better.
The Labour Party will look after any “middle class” arsehole like JPO who flips to their side. He need have no qualms about that. And they were quite right to “put him through” what they did in the last election. It was well deserved.
He only got away with it because the incompetent Sant didn’t have the guts to confront him when he had all the trump cards in his hand. And Troy, all those of you who stood by him deserve no better than to be lumped with him.
It is so disappointing to see that nothing has changed with the PL. One might have thought that they would have learned a few lessons from their past mistakes. Clearly nothing of the sort has happened.
As long as they go on like this and as long as there are the same people at the helm of the PL there is no chance that they will ever get my vote.
What will it take for them to realise that the PL is losing credibility by not disassociating itself from such cheap scum?

Anonymous supporters are afraid of repercussions in tiny Malta, there is no one to protect them if they stick their head out.
The police seem above the law, they break the laws that they are supposed to enforce and the judiciary works hand-in-hand with the police. The police could make your life a misery. It is about time the police forces is spring cleaned and totally reformed with fresh blood from outside the force, possibly from abroad.

Regrettably Mintoff’s brutal legacy in the police force and mentality still prevails and that is why the police force still instils fear in some people.
In yesterday’s The Sunday Times there was a reader’s letter complaining about the way she was treated by a police superintendent.
Yes Paul, I agree – but believe it or not, I was not referring to the police force when I wrote that. Some members of the police may be the ‘tool’, but the orders come from worse people, who currently are very active within the Labour Party.
It is those people that make anonymous supporters afraid, not the police per se.
It is those warped people (like the creators of the anonymous blog and people like Sandro Chetcuti), who expect the public to vote for the Labour Party and Joseph Muscat in the next election.

Oh come on, the only way for consuelo to lose her magisterial ‘job’ is if she resigns as we saw that parliament is ineffective in dealing with the judiciary – same as happened with Lino Farrugia Sacco and Tonio Mizzi who although publicly admonished by their ‘overseeing board’ said that ethically felt they were in the right.
So be it. I would like to see a lawyer ignore this admonition or a doctor the medical council. The proverbial tonne of bricks would fall on them, however our judges and magistrates are above all these earthly things – yeah right -ask Arrigo.
Malta is like a huge whitewashed tomb, populated by self-seeking hypocrites who are full of vested interests. But at the end of it all, notwithstanding the “games people play”, there is only one truth. And only a few who are not afraid to give it a voice. Or who are afraid but persist nonetheless, which is even more courageous in my books.
