Prime Minister Muscat spends €218,478 a year on consultants for himself
Remember the skandlu tal-hames mitt lira fil-gimgha?
It’s seems like another era, an age away.
Information given by the government today, in response to a question put by Opposition MP Kristy Debono in parliament, reveals that Joseph Muscat spends €218,478 a year on consultants for himself alone – image consultants, speech consultants, communications consultants, and random advisers.
They include Robert Musumeci providing 32 hours of consultancy work every week at an undisclosed sum, Franco Debono at €17,000 a year and ex Super One reporter Ramona Attard, who moved from Ian Borg’s office to Manuel Mallia’s office and then to the Prime Minister’s office (because, being an ex Super One reporter, she has a sinecure and not a job) at €32,000. And please note that this is not for full-time or even part-time employment but to provide consultancy.
